Joana Kairienė is an artist working in Vilnius. Since 2013, J. Kairienė has been a member of the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists' Union. She completed her bachelor's and master's studies at the Department of Graphic Arts of the Vilnius Academy of Arts. In her work, she uses memory and inner feelings as an impulse for the emergence of ideas. She draws on her personal experience, in which she seeks connections with processes taking place in the environment. She is interested in the topic of memory and inheritance. In her work, she often uses traditional graphic techniques and their interpretations as tools to discover or reproduce images she has already seen.
