Life/art works description

Gintare Konde (Gintarė Konderauskaitė) is a contemporary monumentalist painter working in Lithuania. Her work balances between an intuitive inner world, subconscious images and everyday experience. The artist's works reveal themes of freedom, inner authenticity and human emotional states, which are often conveyed through expressive, symbolic and association-filled painting or line drawing.

G. Konde relies on intuition and spontaneity in her work. She seeks to depict what arises from the subconscious - various experiences, emotions and inner experiences, which merge into a unique visual narrative. The artist's works invite the viewer to interpret and discover their own meanings, leaving space for individual experience and dialogue with the work.

An important direction of her work is sculptural walls, with which the artist works in various public and private interiors. In these works, the author transfers her linear drawing into architectural space - it is carved into the surface of the walls and turns into a relief, sculptural composition. In this way, the drawing becomes not only an image, but also a physical structure of space, changing the relationship of light, shadow and surface in the interior.

One of the exceptional projects is a 77 square meter carved ceiling, where the artist created a monumental relief drawing. This work transforms the architectural space into a seamless artistic environment, where the drawing becomes a spatial experience.

G. Konde is actively involved in the field of contemporary art: her works are exhibited in exhibitions and art projects in Lithuania.
